Logan City Speed just made history — sending not one but four club legends to the Asian Roller Sports Championships in South Korea! This event was no small meet — it was a world-class spectacle, hosted at a top-tier venue with elite athletes from across Asia and beyond.
From the moment our crew stepped inside, it was clear this was a serious stage. The track was lightning fast, the road course was challenging, and the entire event was run with precision and professionalism — truly next-level. Adding to the energy were the skate brand pop-ups surrounding the venue, selling everything from high-end wheels to fresh racing suits. (Let’s just say a few goodies might’ve made their way back to Logan.)
For our team — Alyvia Samia, Raiden Dolder, Coach Kurt Stevens, and Team Manager Samon Lee — this wasn’t just about racing. It was about stepping up, representing Australia, and soaking in everything that makes this sport great at the international level.
Let’s break it down 👇
Alyvia Samia – Junior Ladies
We all know how tough it is to race through pain — especially on the international stage. But Alyvia showed us exactly what it means to be a fighter. She pushed through some unwanted niggles with pure grit and determination, and that alone is something to be incredibly proud of.
Track Events:
500m Heats – 3rd (49.016)
5000m Points – 15th
1000m Heats – 5th (1.39.114)
10km Elimination – 16th
Road Events:
1 Lap Sprint – 15th (38.033)
10km Points – 16th
15km Elimination – 14th
These weren’t just races — they were battles, both physical and mental. Her performance wasn’t about the placings — it was about presence. She showed up, fought for every inch, and carried herself with pride. Alyvia reminded us all of her tenacity, her heart, and her absolute love for this sport. That’s something you can’t measure on a results sheet — but it leaves a lasting impression on everyone who watched.
Raiden Dolder – Junior Men
Raiden rolled into Korea ready to give it a crack — and give it everything he had. He had his eye on a Top 10 finish, but more than anything, he was there to push himself, soak it all in, and test his speed against some of the best in the world. With grit, focus, and raw determination, he threw himself into every race and showed he’s more than ready for this level.
Track Events:
200m Final – 11th (18.913)
500m Heats – 2nd (44.933)
5km Points – 9th
10km Elimination – 9th
Road Events:
1 Lap Heats – 9th (32.860)
10km Points – 8th (15.53.663)
15km Elimination – 7th
One moment stood out to our club president — watching Raiden completely spent at the finish line of one of his races, absolutely puffed. But then he saw the footage… and every skater in that pack looked the same — drained, broken, empty. That’s what it looks like when you give everything. Raiden did himself and his club proud.
Coach Kurt & Samon – Leadership with Heart
This was a new kind of challenge for both Kurt and Samon — managing logistics, supporting skaters, and representing Australia at an international level. They both stepped up with pride and professionalism, helping the team navigate a busy, intense schedule.
In Kurt’s own words:
“You gain a whole new level of respect for anyone who volunteers for these roles. There’s always something going on behind the scenes.”
Their leadership was calm, committed, and filled with care — exactly what this young team needed.
What’s Next?
Now back home in Logan, the focus shifts to the next big goal — World Championships in China this September. Alyvia and Raiden are back into business mode, training alongside clubmates Rob and Zoe to prepare for another shot at glory.
Stay tuned. This story’s just getting started.
